(NBH) is a bank holding company created to build a leading community bank franchise delivering high quality customer service and strong shareholder results.  NBH raised in excess of $1.0 billion through the sale of common stock in a private placement in late 2009, making it one of the best-capitalized holding companies in the U.S.

In 2010, NBH acquired two banks in the Kansas City, MO market: Bank Midwest and Hillcrest Bank.  NBH recently added Bank of Choice in Greeley, CO and Community Banks of Colorado in Greenwood Village, CO to the company's current community banking assets.  This bank holding company is led by a highly experienced and accomplished management team with a successful track record of operating large and complex financial institutions.

G. Timothy Laney

NBH President and Chief Executive Officer

Tim is the former Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services at Regions Financial. He joined Regions in late 2007 to lead transformation of the bank s wholesale lines of business. During his 24 year tenure with Bank of America, Laney held senior management roles in small business, commercial banking, private banking, corporate marketing and change management. He also served as President of Bank of America, Florida, with more than 800 banking centers and $50 billion in total assets. He was also a member of Bank of America s Management Operating Committee. 

 

James B. Fitzgerald

NBH Chief Financial Officer

Jim formerly acted as CFO and Group Executive Vice President of Citizens Financial Group ( CFG ).  In this role he was responsible for all finance, accounting, treasury, asset liability management, financial planning, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, taxes and insurance.  He played an active role in CFG s acquisition strategy, led the annual audit process and was the company s primary financial contact with regulators.  He has held senior M&A position at Washington Mutual where he participated in the structuring of large acquisitions.

 

Richard U. Newfield, Jr.

NBH Chief Risk Officer

Rick is the former Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services Credit at Regions Bank.  He joined Regions in 2008 after a 23 year career at Bank of America.  Newfield held various senior positions at Bank of America, including roles in risk management, credit, commercial banking, global bank debt and corporate marketing.  He brings significant experience in development and implementation of business models and integration of businesses during mergers.  In addition, Newfield has led credit process reengineering initiatives, including risk and credit policy design, and corporate governance.

 

Thomas M. Metzger

Bank Midwest, N.A. Chief Executive Officer

As former Chief Credit Risk Officer and Group Executive Vice President of CFG, Tom was responsible for credit, operational and market risk as well as regulatory compliance. He also previously served as Chairman, President and CEO of Citizens Bank New Hampshire. He brings significant experience in the regional and community bank base from an operational standpoint. Prior to joining CFG, he held positions at US Bancorp in St. Louis and its predecessor family of banks, including Firstar Bank and Mercantile Bank. He began his banking career in 1974 at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and thereafter at the Office of Comptroller of the Currency.

 

Donald Gaiter

NBH Chief of Acquisitions and Strategy

As a previous Executive Vice President of CFG, Don was the Head of the Bank s foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives and international division. He is a former CFO of the Bank s Mid Atlantic Region, Head of M&A and Director of Corporate Planning. He was a key participant in CFG s M&A strategy including 17 acquisitions totaling $78 billion in assets during his 14 year tenure. He served as Managing Director of CrossHarbor Capital Partners where he was responsible for originations and acquisitions of financial institutions.

 

Kathryn M. Hinderhofer

NBH Chief of Integration, Technology and Operations

Kathy is a former Executive Vice President  of CFG where she was responsible for business integration activities for acquisitions and divestitures. She brings impressive experience in business integration and acquisitions having been a key participant in 26 transactions at CFG during her 17 year tenure. She held senior roles at RBS in Citizens Manufacturing division for technology and operations. She began her career in 1976 at Bank of New England and spent 17 years at the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank in various line functions.

 

Craig S. Woodson

NBH Chief Administration Officer

Craig is the former Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Commerce Bank where he served on the Executive Committee and was responsible for all HR functions. During Woodson s tenure and leadership, Commerce Bank was recognized as the "Best Bank in Kansas City" and as one of the Best Places to Work in Kansas City.   Prior to Commerce, he served as Director of HR at the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP and held various leadership roles at State Farm Insurance throughout the Midwest. He has more than 20 years experience in HR and leadership development.  Woodson has been a guest speaker on the topics of HR and leadership principles and has been featured in both local and regional publications for his expertise in the HR field.

Frank V. Cahouet

Chairman

Frank brings to the table more than 50 years of experience in the banking industry.  Previously, Frank was chairman, president and CEO of Mellon Financial Corporation from 1987 to 1998.  Prior to that, he was president and COO of Fannie Mae from 1986 to 1987 and chairman, president and CEO of Crocker National Bank from 1984 to 1986 financial institutions.

 

Ralph W. Clermont

Director

Ralph is a former Managing Partner of KPMG LLP s St. Louis office and Partner in Charge of KPMG s Midwest financial services practice.  Ralph joined KPMG in 1969 and was elected to the Partnership in 1977.  He is a Certified public accountant and a member of the AICPA and Missouri Society of CPAs.

 

Robert E. Dean

Director

Robert has performed as the former Managing Director of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance LLC.  He practiced corporate and securities law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP for over 24 years.

 

Lawrence K. Fish

Director

Lawrence is the retired Chairman and CEO of Citizens Financial Group.  He is also a past member of the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System and a former director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

 

G. Timothy Laney

Tim brings considerable expertise and experience in leading and managing across all banking lines of business. Tim is the former Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services at Regions Financial; served on the Executive Council of Regions Bank; Director, Regions Equipment Finance Corporation and Regions Business Capital Corporation and President of Bank of America, Florida.  He previously held senior management roles during his 24 year tenure with Bank of America in small business, commercial banking, private banking, corporate marketing and change management.

 

Micho F. Spring

Director

Micho is currently Chairperson, Global Corporate Practice and President, New England region for Weber Shandwick. She is
the former CEO of Boston Telecommunications Company and former Deputy Mayor of Boston. Micho currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and holds numerous board memberships. She is a past director of Citizens Bank of Massachusetts, a $35 billion state chartered bank.

 

Burney S. Warren

Director

Burney formerly acted as Executive Vice President and Director of M&A for Branch Banking and Trust Company ( BB&T ), the 10th largest commercial bank in the U.S. ranked by deposits until 2007.  He was responsible for development, structure and negotiation of BB&T s bank and non-bank acquisitions.  Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of First Federal Savings Bank in Greenville, NC.
