Aaron has over 10 years’ experience in the commercial banking space in the Kansas City market.  He is presently a Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager with Bank Midwest.   In this role, he manages an existing portfolio of clients, working to provide solutions for clients’ needs.  He also works in conjunction with bankers in new business development, and is accountable for all functional areas of the team including underwriting, legal, portfolio management and bank compliance standards.  Prior to joining Bank Midwest in 2018, Aaron was an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Lender with NBKC Bank.  In that role, he was responsible for managing the commercial loan portfolio, primarily comprised of commercial real estate loans.  His duties included underwriting new and existing loans, monitoring and taking appropriate action on existing loans and collecting past due loans.  He also managed the classified portfolio, working out criticized assets.  Prior to NBKC Bank, Aaron worked in a production capacity in the Kansas City market for seven years.  Aaron received his formal credit training through UMB’s commercial loan training program, spending two years in development before becoming a commercial banker, where he was named the Rookie of the Year for the Kansas City market in 2010.  Aaron holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
