G. Timothy Laney

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Tim is the former Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services at Regions Financial. He joined Regions in late 2007 to lead transformation of the bank’s wholesale lines of business. During his 24-year tenure with Bank of America, Mr. Laney held senior management roles in small business, commercial banking, private banking, corporate marketing and change management. He also served as President of Bank of America-Florida, with more than 800 banking centers and $50 billion in total assets. He was also a member of Bank of America’s Management Operating Committee.


 

Aldis Birkans

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Aldis is currently NBH Bank’s Chief Financial Officer, since August 2018, as well as NBH Bank’s Treasurer, since August 2011. He also serves as a member of NBH Bank’s Board of Directors since August 2018. Prior to joining the company, Aldis served as a Vice President, Assistant Treasurer of M&I Bank for five consecutive years. In this role, he was responsible for capital management, investments, corporate liquidity and risk management related to the M&I Bank’s financial activities. In addition, Aldis previously worked at Citigroup as a Senior Vice President, Corporate and investment Bank Treasury. Aldis attended Southern Methodist University where he received his Master of Business Administration along with his Bachelor’s degree in economics and finance.


 

Richard U. Newfield, Jr.

Chief Risk Management Officer
Rick is the former Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services Credit at Regions Bank. He joined Regions in 2008 after a 23-year career at Bank of America. Mr. Newfield held various senior positions at Bank of America, including roles in risk management, credit, commercial banking, global bank debt and corporate marketing. He brings significant experience in development and implementation of business models and integration of businesses during mergers. In addition, Mr. Newfield has led credit process reengineering initiatives, including risk and credit policy design, and corporate governance.


 

Zsolt K. Bessko

Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel 
Zsolt comes to us with significant experience in securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance in his 17-year legal career. He has had a particular focus in the banking industry both in private practice and as in-house counsel. Prior to joining the company, Zsolt was a partner with the law firm of Stinson Morrison & Hecker LLP. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Guaranty Bancorp, a publicly traded bank holding company, where he oversaw the company’s legal and compliance departments. As an attorney in private practice, Zsolt assisted publicly traded and privately held companies involving mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions, SEC reporting, corporate governance, executive compensation, employment and human resources, regulatory issues and general corporate matters. He began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City.
